The Diary of a CEO

Hosted by Steven Bartlett

My Take

Okay, I'll be honest — DOAC is high variance. Some episodes feel a bit too self-help-y for my taste. But when Steven hits, he hits hard. The best episodes are the ones with scientists, psychologists, and people who've lived genuinely complex lives. He has this way of creating space for vulnerability that you don't get in most business podcasts. When a neuroscientist or a trauma researcher sits down for two hours and really opens up, you walk away seeing something differently.

What I appreciate is that Steven doesn't pretend to know everything. He asks follow-up questions that a curious 20-something would actually ask — which is basically what I am. The episodes on ambition, identity, and what success actually costs are the ones I keep coming back to. If you're selective about which episodes you pick, this is genuinely one of the best interview shows out there.
